Joe Rubin

Joe Rubin is a California-based investigative reporter. His environmental and public health investigations garnered the Journalist of the Year award from the LA Press Club in 2020, an investigative Emmy, and led to the passage of statewide legislation which protects workers from toxins. Rubin's writing has appeared in the LA Times, The New Republic, The New York Times, and Capital & Main. Joe's radio reporting includes in-depth stories for NPR (Morning Edition), PRI's the World, and KQED radio. During an earlier foreign correspondent phase, Joe produced and reported television documentaries for PBS's Frontline and ABC's Nightline from Bosnia, Serbia, Sri Lanka, and the Middle East. He also created and hosted a Webby-winning interview program, iWitness.
